SAE² 2014
From 24th to 28th August, 2014 the Student Association of Energy (SAE) organized the first edition of the SAE Summer Academy on Energy at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in Budapest, Hungary. The main goal was to provide an opportunity to undergraduate, MSc, and PhD students from all over the world to get acquainted with the recent visions and developments of sustainable technologies in the field of future fuels (e-mobility, biofuels, fuel cells and CNG/LPG/LNG) and sustainable urban transportation, while making contacts and friendships for their future in a pleasant atmosphere.
The Academy included 10 professional lectures, 2 site visits and a 3-day-long life-cycle assessment task, where the participants worked in groups, with the main goal to facilitate the interest about the field of future fuels, and encourage the participants to work in international environment. Besides the professional programs, we organized social programs to make the desired informal interaction between the participants possible and also gave a little overview of Budapest.
On the 1st SAE Summer Academy on energy we could welcome 28 students from 13 different countries. The participats arrived from very different part of the field: There were student from the field of civil engineering, chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, power engineering, electrical engineering such as student form the field of energy or sustainability management.
